The Senate Judiciary Committee began hearings today on the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. If confirmed, she would be the first Black woman on the court as well as one of a record four female justices serving at the same time (article available here).
Lawmakers and Jackson gave opening remarks. The panel will pick up on Tuesday with rounds of questioning.
