The Senate voted Thursday to confirm two of President Joe Biden's district court picks, one for the Northern District of Georgia and another for the District of New Jersey.

Sarah Elisabeth Geraghty, a senior counsel at the Southern Center for Human Rights, where she has worked since 2003 in a variety of roles was confirmed for the Northern District of Georgia following her nomination in September2021. Previous coverage available here.

Georgette Castner, a law firm partner since 2015, was nominated in November and confirmed 52-47.

Castner is the fifth judge confirmed to the District of New Jersey since Biden took office. One additional nominee, Evelyn Padin, is awaiting confirmation and could receive a Judiciary Committee vote as soon as next week.
