Senate Confirms Noel Francisco As U.S. Solicitor General

Today the United States Senate confirmed Noel Francisco as Solicitor General.  The Solicitor General is the top legal advocate for the United States in the U.S. Supreme Court, supervising and conducting government litigation before the Court.  The Office of the Solicitor General also reviews all cases decided adversely to the government to determine whether the government should appeal, and if so, the government's position.
