The United States Sentencing Commission published Quick Facts on Women in the Federal Offender Population.

Female offenders accounted for 12.3% of federal offenders sentenced in fiscal year 2020. Their average age was 37 years.

According to the data, "44.8% of female offenders were Hispanic, 33.1% were White, 15.8% were Black, and 6.3% were Other races."

The average sentence for female offenders was 30 months, compared to 44 months for male offenders. 79.6% were sentenced to prison, compared to 94.3% of male offenders.
