The United States Sentencing Commission released its Quarterly Data Report on offenders sentenced through the end of the third quarter of fiscal year 2017 (June 30, 2017). The tables and figures in the FY17 report cover data extracted and analyzed from sentencing documents submitted to the Commission by the courts, which are subject to change as the Commission collects more data on additional cases through the end of the fiscal year. The data reflects trends in federal sentencing.
