Sentencing Commission Summarizes Select Supreme Court Sentencing Cases

The United States Sentencing Commission recently published Selected Supreme Court Cases on Sentencing Issues (Nov. 2019).  The 76-page publication provides brief summaries select of Supreme Court cases between 1989 and 2019 that involved the guidelines and other aspects of federal sentencing, such as the Armed Career Criminal Act, retroactivity, and Sixth Amendment issues.  Caution: it “does not necessarily represent the official position of the Commission, and it should not be considered definitive or comprehensive.”
