The family members of the victims of Daniel Lewis Lee’s crimes are asking a federal judge to delay his execution because the coronavirus pandemic puts them at risk if they travel to attend it (article available here). Lee, scheduled to be executed on July 13, 2020, would be the first federal inmate put to death in 17 years. The family members asked that Lee’s execution be put off until a treatment or a vaccine for the virus is available.
