Incarcerated people have been among the hardest hit by the coronavirus in the United States. At least one in every five people in state and federal prisons have caught the virus since the pandemic began, and over 2,000 have died (article available here).

The Marshall Project surveyed 136 imprisoned people to collect the most common questions. Then obtained answers from vaccine experts, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) fact sheets and other reliable sources.
